Hotmail account settings?
This is not an unusual situation if you are using Internet Explorer (IE). There are settings that prevent the running of ActiveX automatically. Generally you will get asked to allow the ActiveX to download and run by a message bar that shows up in your browser near the top of the page you are viewing. You can change this setting but I don't recommend it. The process is to click on the message and select "allow ActiveX...."

Most folks have fixed this problem by downloading and installing Firefox by Mozilla. This is a popular Web Browser that isn't targeted by as many hackers as is Microsoft's Internet Explorer. So its' a good idea to have both installed on your computer. I have Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox (Mozilla) and Safari (Apple). I use each one where appropriate. The only downside to this is that it takes a little getting use to how each works. The good news is that they are becoming more like each other.
