I have to email account 1 is a bigpond acc and the other is from hot mail. i already have the bigpond one set up in outlook but i would like to put my hotm ail one there too so i only have to check one lot!
i think the problem is the POP mail server i put in= mail.hotmail.com and i have also tried mail.hotmail.net
can anyone please help!

Ok. Hotmail have made it so that the service (hotmail) can no longer be used with outlook. BUT. There is a program they released like outlook. It's called Windows Live Mail Desktop. download it here on the official site. AND then u can read your emails like you do with your bigpond ones.

Reply:Microsoft has changed the standard free hotmail to no longer be able to be used with Outlook or Outlook Express. They made no announcement or warned they were going to do this. Now, the only way to get hotmail is to pay the money and subscribe and then you will have POP3 and SMTP available just as you do with your individual ISP mail service. I was really surprised when one day a while ago, my hotmail failed to sync and when I poked into the situation, found out they dropped compatibility with Outlook and Outlook Express. Which, by the way, is why I no longer use hotmail...
